UVM - Here we come!

We had a terrific time Patrick Gym cheering for the UVM Women's basketball team!  Johnathan represented our third grade in the halftime Zumba event.  Naren represented our class in the Trivia Time out!  

Farm to School with Ms. Kayli was exciting!  We made a warm squash and apple dish.

In the morning we take time to explore and create with each other.  We focus on kind conversation, cooperation and creativity. 

During number corner, we are all engaged in representing our thinking, discussing our mathematical ideas and sharing with each other and the whole group what we notice, wonder and question.  

The SBHS Student Justice Union came to RMCS to share with our students about some of the reasons why we take time to honor Martin Luther King Jr. day on Monday.

Wildflowers STEAM program in January!  We experienced capillary action.  Thank you to Mrs. Dahlstrom for teaching and creating these experiences!

 

 

 

 

 

We also welcomed January with the book One Word for Kids by Jon Gordon.  Each member of our learning community made a list of words that will help bring their best into the new year.  We each chose one word that summarized all of our original list of words, designed a speech bubble and placed it by our displayed names in our classroom.  We have a lot to look forward to in 2020!

2020 brought an opportunity to build snow people from 6 feet of white paper.  Our results hang in the hallway!  We used cooperation, creativity and problem solving to create some fantastic results.
